About
Nope is a small studio (one person to be precise). I make websites, apps, anything that renders on a screen.
The name nope is intentional. I say no to most things. Not out of stubbornness. Out of conviction.
Most things don't need to exist. Extra features nobody asked for. Pages that fill space. Design that decorates instead of communicates.
I try to remove all of it. What's left is usually better.
This is minimalism, but not as an aesthetic. As a method.
Every decision starts with a question: Does this need to be here? If the answer isn't clearly yes, it goes.
I apply this to everything: life, the work i take on, the words i write, the pixels i place.
I take design seriously. Not as decoration. As communication.
The typeface, the spacing, the colour, the weight of a line. These are all decisions. Decisions made carelessly produce work that feels wrong even when people can't say why.
We make them carefully.
Good design disappears. You stop noticing it and start using it.
The name wasn't a strategy. It was just the first honest thing.
